Hi Stampers,

Welcome to another ESAD blog hop, and a special hello to those that have popped over from Ann’s Blog, www.superstamper.blogspot.com

In todays blog hop we wanted to showcase products from our gorgeous new holiday catalogue.  Have you got your copy? If not email me on anna.mathieson@xtra.co.nz and I will be sure to pop one in the post to you (NZ only please) or just click on the holiday catalgoue picture to the left to download your own PDF copy.

So what is ESAD?

ESAD stands for “Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators” and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.

We love what we do & love to share with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors. We also share what we love in our ESAD Demonstrator community, through swaps, challenges, sharing knowledge, ideas & friendship, and we’re always there to help and support each other.

So if  you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand, then please feel free to leave me a comment with your Email address and I’ll contact you with information on how to join our wonderful group.

In my post today I wanted to focus on Christmas Gift giving and finding ways to make plain items (like a block of chocolate or a candle) into something special for those people that are important in our lives.

First up here’s a Joyful Christmas Wishes Chocolate box using our Tag a Bag gift boxes (page 158 of the Annual catalogue)

???????????????????????????????

Here’s an up-close of the poinsettia

???????????????????????????????

I created the poinsettia embellishment by doing the following;

  • Stamping the image twice in cherry cobbler ink on whisper white cardstock and cutting out the inner leaves of both images.
  • On one of the images I coloured the leaves using our new Gold Metallic Encore stamp pad with a blender pen and then coloured the centre with a cherry cobbler marker.
  • I layered the two cut images over the top of each other and then used my 2-way glue pen and dazzling diamonds glitter to add sparkle.

Next up is a chocolate holder created by using a pocket from the new Thankful Tablescape simply created kit;

???????????????????????????????

I love the layering of the circles, created in a snap using our circles collection framelits (page 186 of our annual catalogue).  The points of the flag were made super easy by using our new hexagon punch (page 180 of our annual catalogue)

My final project today is a decorated candle.

???????????????????????????????

I love finding bargains and personalising them, and I especially love how simple it was to decorate this candle.  It showcases one of my favourite new chevron ribbons in chocolate chip.

And here’s a pic of all three projects together;
